About the position

As a Registered Nurse Manager in a long-term care facility, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided to residents. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to plan, organize, develop, and oversee the overall operations of the Nursing Department. This position requires a strong commitment to ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards, which is essential for maintaining the integrity and quality of care within the facility. You will be tasked with creating a supportive and holistic environment that fosters the well-being of residents, staff, and all stakeholders involved. This involves proactively addressing the needs of residents and staff, ensuring that their concerns are heard and acted upon. Additionally, you will guide clinical matters and oversee the training, education, and implementation of best clinical practices, ensuring that the nursing team is well-equipped to provide high-quality care. Your leadership will be crucial in setting and achieving ambitious goals for both yourself and your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to plan, organize, develop, and oversee the Nursing Department's overall operation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
• Create a supportive, holistic environment that fosters the well-being of residents, staff, and all stakeholders.
• Proactively address the needs of residents, staff, and the facility.

Requirements

• A current RN license.
• Proven supervisory/management experience in long-term care.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations.
• Strong skills in business and financial management.
• The ability to set and achieve ambitious goals for yourself and your team.
