About the position
The Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care for individual clients with well defined nursing diagnoses. The Staff Nurse communicates with and on behalf of the client and coordinates client care with all health team members. The Staff Nurse organizes those aspects of nursing care for which s/he is accountable in a specified work period. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for individual clients with well defined nursing diagnoses.
- Communicate with and on behalf of the client and coordinate client care with all health team members.
- Organize nursing care for which the nurse is accountable in a specified work period.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota.
- BLS certification required.
- PALS (or ENPC) certification prior to 1 year evaluation.
- ACLS certification prior to 1 year evaluation.
- Proficiency in the assigned clinical area expected within six months following a formal orientation.
- Cross training is required.
