The RN position in the Medical Unit at Logan Health is a full-time role that provides primary care to patients, focusing on assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. The RN will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the nursing process. This role requires a commitment to maintaining nursing standards of care while responding to changing workloads and patient conditions. The RN will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and will be expected to remain calm and make objective assessments in high-pressure situations. In this position, the RN will transcribe and implement provider orders and treatments accurately and efficiently, demonstrating a thorough understanding of infection control procedures. The RN will also be responsible for documenting all patient encounters according to organizational standards and providing individual instruction and education to patients and families regarding health and medical needs. The role requires excellent organizational skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to function both independently and as part of a team. The RN will need to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy, ensuring compliance with confidentiality laws, including HIPAA guidelines. The position operates on a night shift schedule of 12 hours, and the RN will be expected to maintain regular attendance as scheduled by department leadership. Logan Health operates 24/7, and schedules may be adjusted based on patient care and organizational needs.
