About the position

PeaceHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Infusion Unit in Florence, Oregon. This role involves providing professional nursing care to patients requiring infusion therapy and outpatient treatments, ensuring compliance with professional practice standards. The position promotes a collaborative approach to patient care and requires availability for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Direct and delegate care to other team members based on their education and credentials.
• Ensure professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
• Provide and coordinate care for outpatients requiring infusion therapy, including bridging therapy, IV antibiotics, hydration, and supportive chemotherapy management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Minimum one year RN experience required in Home Health, IV Therapy, Clinic or MedSurg Nursing.
• State of Oregon nursing license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Previous infusion experience as an RN preferred.
• Knowledge of central line, IV, and PICC line care preferred.
