RN Per Diem I- Med/Surg

We are searching for an EXPERIENCED RN for Med/Surg at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. This is a Per Diem, Level I commitment position, requiring availability to work a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours within a six (6) week time schedule, including two (2) weekend shifts or one (1) weekend and one (1) off-shift. Per diem nurses will also need to provide availability to work two (2) holidays per year, one (1) summer holiday and one (1) winter holiday, with each shift being a minimum of eight (8) hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit.
• Provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One plus years of experience.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement.
