This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in robotics integration, automation development, and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Robotics/Automation Engineer to design, develop, and integrate robotic systems and automated equipment into production lines.
• Assist in the design, programming, and integration of stationary robots, mobile robots, optical inspection systems, and laser engraving equipment.
• Support the procurement and installation of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Work with manufacturing, test, and design engineering teams to develop safe, ergonomic, and reliable robotic solutions.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for new automation projects.
• Create proposals and justifications for automation investments.
• Develop user guides, operating instructions, and repair manuals for automated systems.
• Assist in maintaining, repairing, and modifying existing automated production equipment.
• Work with PLCs and microprocessor-based controllers to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of network communications and various communication protocols (including Wi-Fi).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Hands-on mechanical skills and familiarity with power tools.
• Experience with Linux and Python programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation and robotics.
