About the position
The Robotics Technician/Programmer role at Actalent involves implementing improvements to robotic systems, particularly in welding, sealing, and handling processes. The technician will be responsible for evaluating the efficiency of welding jobs, modifying existing robot programs for new models, and supporting the installation and programming of new robotic systems. The position requires troubleshooting and making program adjustments to enhance product quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot robot concerns and make program adjustments and improvements as necessary.
- Effectively program robots to new model specifications and ensure a successful launch.
- Evaluate and improve mass production quality of weld applications and implement improvements to quality pass rates.
- Evaluate and improve mass production delivery of weld applications and implement improvements to delivery pass rates.
- Interact with associates and robotics in a safe and reliable manner.
- Plan and report daily activity to support safe and high-quality production of products.
- Support individual and department projects.
- Support downtime situations by participating in troubleshooting activities.
- Attend required meetings.
Requirements
- Experience with robotics programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using teach pendants for robot programming.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a Japanese automotive environment.
- Familiarity with just-in-time manufacturing processes.
