The Roofer is responsible for installing roofs and repairing existing roofs for properties. They will also help ensure roofs are installed and repaired safely, and guide our laborers as needed.

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus
• Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads
• Previous experience in roofing, construction or related scope of work
• General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques and specialties
• Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work
• Ability to read and follow instructions from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
• Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold

Responsibilities

• Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truck
• Lay new roofing materials such as asphalt, wood, steel and plastics
• Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs
• Spray treatment chemicals on roofs and buildings to seal them from water and weather
• Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris
• Install insulation materials underneath roofs
• Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying tools
• Performs other work-duties as assigned
