About the position

The Rooms Operations Manager at Marriott is responsible for overseeing the execution of operations in the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. This role focuses on enhancing guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance of the department. The manager will lead a team, ensure compliance with standards, and work towards achieving property goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping).
• Strive to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance.
• Monitor compliance with standards and procedures.
• Lead specific teams while assisting in meeting or exceeding property goals.
• Create a motivating and empowering environment for the team.
• Understand and develop strategies based on employee and guest satisfaction results.
• Assist employees in understanding and exceeding guest expectations.
• Communicate and update goals and results with employees.
• Perform hourly job functions as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
• OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
