About the position

The Route Driver position at Accel Entertainment involves a dynamic and engaging role that keeps you active while providing essential services to our partner establishments. As the largest gaming terminal operator in the nation, Accel Entertainment focuses on delivering exceptional customer support and compliance expertise to bars, restaurants, convenience stores, and other venues. The primary responsibilities of this position include setting redemption loads for video gaming terminals (VGTs) and redemption terminals (RTs), replenishing cassettes, and maintaining and servicing amusement and video gaming equipment owned by the company. This role is crucial in ensuring that our gaming equipment operates smoothly and that our partners can maximize their revenue potential. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting cassettes from customer locations according to an assigned route schedule using a company-provided vehicle. Maintaining exceptional customer service is paramount, as you will interact with location staff and patrons regularly. You will also be required to complete necessary paperwork to document access to VGTs and RTs, as well as the movement of company property. Adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures and remaining alert to safety and security protocols is essential to protect both employees and customers. Continuous communication with security personnel while on route is also a key aspect of this role. The Route Driver position is not just about driving; it requires a professional demeanor, excellent ethics, and integrity. You will need to adapt to various working components of machines and provide Level 1 service while on-site. Responsibilities

  • Delivering and collecting cassettes to and from customer locations per the assigned route schedule using a company-provided vehicle.
  • Maintaining exceptional customer service with location staff and patrons.
  • Completing necessary paperwork to document access to VGTs and RTs and the movement of company property.
  • Adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures and safety protocols.
  • Remaining alert and prepared at all times, watching for accidental mishandling of packages.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with security personnel while on route.
  • Returning all valuables handled throughout the daily scheduled route.
  • Assisting in other areas as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and smartphone technology.
  • Legible writing skills and effective communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt and understand working components of machines and provide Level 1 service while on site.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent ethics.
