About the position

The RPO Technical Writer will be part of the bank's Remediation Program Office ('RPO') and report directly to the Director, RPO, who reports to the Chief Administrative Officer of Comerica. The bank's RPO team is responsible for regulatory engagement execution, key regulatory submissions and responses, and regulatory execution process across all of the bank's regulators. The RPO Technical Writer is responsible for supporting the RPO Director, Workstream Leaders, and Business Analysts in their delivery of key remediation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Written Content Supporting Regulatory Interactions
  • Collaborate and consult with execution teams to curate clear, concise written documentation to support regulatory interactions including key submissions and responses.
  • Review and edit material authored by others including project artifacts.
  • Complete quality control assessments of work performed by team.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Document Processes and Procedures
  • Develop procedures and materials to allow the Remediation Program Office to accurately execute processes and develop a connection to control activities.
  • Ensure procedures accurately reflect the process as well as the controls and monitoring.
  • Participate in, and ensure compliance in the design and development or processes and procedures to policy.
  • Perform annual and biennial reviews of existing procedures; ensuring updates are made and steps are identified for Remediation Program Office execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Communications or other relevant degree
  • 5 years of experience in creating and documenting written content presented to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators
  • 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance or remediation activities
