About the position

The Operations Manager will oversee the Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Death Claims and Money Out teams, ensuring efficient management of complex financial data and processes. This role involves providing subject matter expertise, coaching, and training to team members while driving process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on performance goals and individual development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RPS Death Claims and Money Out teams, overseeing their processes and performance.
  • Provide coaching, training, and developmental opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of complex financial data processing.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to enhance customer experience.
  • Drive process improvements for increased efficiency and reduced risk.
  • Establish individual and team priorities, performance goals, and objectives.
  • Evaluate team performance and take necessary actions to meet performance standards.
  • Design and implement training plans based on team needs.
  • Serve as a resource for team members and stakeholders on complex assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Client Customer Support and Operations, including 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal clients.
