About the position

The SAFe Agile Coach at Booz Allen Hamilton plays a crucial role in driving organizational transformation by implementing Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban. This position involves coaching and mentoring team members, leading Agile Release Train (ART) launches, and delivering various SAFe training and workshops. The coach will work closely with senior leadership to establish lean agile practices and ensure the organization can operate Agile at scale, integrating Continuous Development, DevOps, and automation into the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Drive the transformation across the organization using Agile frameworks like SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Coach and mentor team members to adopt an Agile mentality through Lean Portfolio Management and Agile delivery knowledge.
• Lead an ART launch from end-to-end and deliver SAFe training and workshops.
• Partner with senior leadership to establish lean agile routines and practices.
• Facilitate discussions with team leads and management to keep the team focused on commitments, pace, and quality.

Requirements

• Experience with coaching, mentoring, and advising technology leaders through Agile transformation.
• Experience with designing and executing enterprise organizational transformation frameworks.
• Experience supporting the Navy, DoD, or DHS.
• Knowledge of Application Life Cycle and Agile Management tools.
• Ability to lead discussions with executives and team leads on Agile topics.
• Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to obtain SAFe 5.1 Program Consultant (SPC) Certification within 30 days of start date.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience supporting DoD Acquisition Category (ACAT) or Business Category (BCAT) programs.
• Experience working with senior executive leaders in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
