About the position

As a SAFe Agile Coach at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of the organization by leveraging various frameworks, including Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and Kanban. Your primary focus will be on fostering the adoption of an Agile mindset throughout the organization, utilizing Lean Portfolio Management, Agile delivery knowledge, and Agile life cycle management tools. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and understanding to thrive in an Agile environment. In this role, you will lead an Agile Release Train (ART) launch from start to finish, delivering comprehensive SAFe training and workshops. This includes leading sessions on SAFe, SAFe for Teams, SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager, and Value Stream Identification. You will also be instrumental in introducing standard methodologies into the organization and collaborating closely with senior leadership to establish lean agile routines and practices that enable the organization to operate Agile at scale. Your expertise in Integration and Continuous Development, DevOps, and automation will be crucial in this transformation journey. You will facilitate discussions with team leads and management, ensuring that the collective team remains focused on commitments, pace, and quality. Your ability to communicate effectively with executives and team leads on Agile topics will be essential in driving the organization's Agile transformation forward.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the transformation across the organization using frameworks like SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Coach and mentor team members to adopt an Agile mindset.
  • Lead an Agile Release Train (ART) launch from end-to-end.
  • Deliver SAFe training and workshops, including SAFe for Teams and Value Stream Identification.
  • Introduce standard methodologies into the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish lean agile routines and practices.
  • Facilitate discussions with team leads and management to maintain focus on commitments, pace, and quality.

Requirements

  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, and advising technology leaders through an agile transformation.
  • Experience with designing and executing enterprise organizational transformation frameworks.
  • Experience supporting the Navy or DoD.
  • Knowledge of Application Life Cycle and Agile Management tools.
  • Ability to lead discussions with executives and team leads on Agile topics.
  • Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • SAFe 5.1 Program Consultant (SPC) Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting DoD Acquisition Category (ACAT) or Business Category (BCAT) programs.
  • Experience working with senior executive leaders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, or other agile project management tools.
