About the position
The Safety Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while providing services to customers. This role involves site safety supervision, equipment servicing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations in the oilfield. The technician will also be involved in high angle and confined space rescue training, making it essential to have a strong understanding of safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment while working for customers
- Site safety supervision
- Rig up and rig down H2S equipment
- Service and repair breathing air equipment
- Service and repair fire extinguishers
- Service and repair personal and rig monitor equipment
- Conduct high angle and confined space rescue training
Requirements
- Confined space training
- High angle rope rescue training
- Hot work and permitting knowledge
- Experience with multi-gas monitors
- Understanding of all aspects of job safety
- Acceptable driving record
- Class B Texas Fire Extinguisher license or ability to obtain
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety regulations in the oilfield
