About the position

The Account Executive role at Lamar Advertising involves promoting and selling outdoor advertising solutions to businesses in Decatur, IL, and surrounding areas. This position is crucial for meeting and exceeding sales objectives through effective relationship-building and professional sales techniques. The role requires a blend of in-office training and fieldwork, with a focus on developing long-term advertising partnerships and maximizing sales potential.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitors' clients.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition.
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently.
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals and presentations.
  • Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining sales plans and following up on client production orders.

Requirements

  • Current and Valid Driver's License required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Previous Outdoor Advertising sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience preferred.
