About the position

The Sales Account Manager for Identity and Biometric Solutions at Thales will lead business initiatives within the US Federal and State and Local markets. This role focuses on supporting existing accounts and developing sales strategies to grow the business in sectors such as driver licenses, ID, border control, and law enforcement. The position requires establishing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, developing capture plans, and managing account activities to ensure customer satisfaction and business expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an account manager for the US, supporting existing accounts and developing sales strategies.
  • Maintain and expand business scope for Federal and state and local law enforcement customers.
  • Establish high-level strategic and trusting relationships with each account.
  • Identify main stakeholders and decision makers, including end-users, CTO, CIO offices, and procurement.
  • Develop strategic capture plans detailing win themes and customer pain points.
  • Share capture plans with internal stakeholders and work on implementation.
  • Track all opportunities and maintain existing accounts.
  • Lead responses to RFI's and RFPs, influencing them in advance.
  • Coordinate with Thales solutions engineering and product teams for presentations.
  • Manage accounts won through contract award and receipt of purchase order.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in solutions selling and large account management in the US Federal and State Government markets.
  • Demonstrated sales experience operating at a senior level.
  • Experience in SaaS and large-scale platform sales in the government vertical.
  • Demonstrated ability to close large, multi-million dollar contracts.
  • Knowledge and experience in US Federal account procurement.
  • Prior experience with biometrics, driver license market, and law enforcement market in the US or North America.
