About the position

The Sales and Operations Planning Manager will lead the integration of sales, logistics, supply chain, inventory, and finance processes to enhance operational efficiency and drive business success. This role is pivotal in establishing metrics, improving demand forecasting, and ensuring alignment across various departments to meet service-level agreements while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee the Sales and Operations process, ensuring effective integration across sales, logistics, supply chain, inventory, and finance.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Sales and Operations process, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development and improvement of demand forecasting, collaborating with sales to understand market trends, vehicle inventory lifecycles, and promotional impacts.
  • Analyze and adjust forecasts to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast error.
  • Ensure that inventory levels align with demand while meeting service-level agreements and minimizing excess inventory costs.
  • Oversee supply planning to ensure adequate resource allocation, minimizing disruptions and maximizing efficiency.
  • Partner with finance, operations, logistics, inventory control, sales, and procurement teams to ensure end-to-end alignment in the planning process.
  • Facilitate monthly and weekly meetings to review demand/supply plans and address potential bottlenecks or constraints through the Tricolor S&OP and S&OE process.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to drive decision-making, providing actionable insights to improve the Sales and Operations process.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate Sales and Operations performance, inventory status, and key metrics to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sales and Operations software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • 7+ years of experience in Operations, Demand Planning or Supply Chain Management.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role.
