About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at Fastmore, you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth and expanding our client base. We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual who can leverage their industry knowledge, network, and business development skills to identify and secure new opportunities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and executive leadership, to ensure the successful implementation and execution of strategic initiatives. Fastmore has been providing domestic transportation services to freight forwarders for more than 15 years. We simplify logistics through collaboration, transparency, and cutting-edge technology while delivering what matters most for freight forwarders. In 2022, Fastmore was acquired by Echo Global Logistics - a Fortune 1000 provider of technology-enabled transportation management services. As a third-party logistics provider, Echo simplifies transportation management for our clients and carriers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and manage new client relationships
  • Help drive new account growth via prospecting, sourcing, and account penetration
  • Effectively utilize Salesforce for client prospecting and pipeline management
  • Ability to navigate Echo's proprietary software to manage daily operational tasks such as account management, invoicing and tracking shipments
  • Establish relationships with internal departments to ensure client transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Attend continuous education programs to fully engage in learning the industry, market and business

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of logistics sales experience
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated by money
  • Ability to cold call with assertive, positive and persistent style
  • Motivated to reach and exceed quotas
  • Ability to remain resilient in an aggressive and competitive environment
  • Understands the importance of self-motivation, time-management, and organizational skills
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment that requires problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
