About the position

The U.S. Sales Development team at Amplitude is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic San Francisco office! As the first point of contact for potential customers, the SDR team plays a critical role in driving pipeline generation and revenue growth. We focus on strategic outreach, creative prospecting, and building meaningful relationships with Fortune 500 executives. By collaborating closely with Account Executives, leveraging personalization, and attending events, SDRs lay the foundation for Amplitude's expansion into new and existing accounts. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain expertise in sales, marketing, and account management. Through Amplitude's robust training and development program, you'll gain the skills necessary to excel not just in this role, but also in future career opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business by creating opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound follow ups, networking, and attending events.
  • Target and convert key accounts using personalized campaigns and strategic research.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Amplitude's product offerings to support discovery calls and evaluation cycles with potential customers.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, SDR Leadership, and Enablement teams to identify best practices and share learnings.
  • Consistently exceed quarterly and annual targets while maintaining a high standard of excellence.
  • Must be available to work from the San Francisco office every Tuesday through Thursday.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong track record of consistent success across various academics, athletics, work, or internships. Bonus points for impeccable references.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative, team-oriented settings.
  • High level of curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to learn.
  • You have a track record of taking initiative, proactively solving problems, and driving measurable impacts.
  • Natural aptitude for seeking feedback and continuously developing professionally.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven ability to build and manage pipelines in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience experimenting with and improving sales processes using data and analytics.
  • Familiarity with SaaS sales tools, systems, and processes.
