About the position

The Sales Director / Account Manager at WaveStrong is responsible for driving sales of professional services, managed security services, and security product solutions to Fortune 1000 clients within a designated geographic territory. This role involves building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, cultivating new business opportunities, and leveraging existing client relationships to achieve annual margin objectives of $4 million. The position requires a consultative sales approach and strong communication skills to effectively convey WaveStrong's value proposition across its three practice areas: Information Security Professional Services, Value Added Reseller/System Integrator, and Managed Security Services.

Responsibilities

  • Sell WaveStrong's professional services, managed security services, and security product solutions to named accounts within a given geographic territory.
  • Own and cultivate new business while leveraging existing clientele.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle within the assigned territory and accounts.
  • Build a large sales pipeline and achieve margin objectives of $4 million annually.
  • Effectively communicate WaveStrong's value proposition related to the three practice areas.
  • Build strong relationships with security technology partners and field sales representatives to gather leads.
  • Maintain relationships and interactions through all phases of the sales cycle, including delivery outcomes.
  • Monitor and mediate communication between customer, vendor, and technical resources within each account.
  • Maintain internal communications with the WaveStrong team regarding specific opportunities and requirements.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in solution and services-based sales in an Information Security environment.
  • Proven track record of selling services to Fortune 1000 clients.
  • Experience in building, selling, and negotiating complex and multi-year hardware, software, and services solutions.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior detailed writing skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of the IT Security market and competitors.
  • Strong relationships with key executives and sponsors within the region.
  • Experience and knowledge of Risk/Compliance and IT Infrastructure markets.

Nice-to-haves

  • History of awards/recognition for exceptional sales initiative and ability.
  • Ability to travel up to 30 percent within the assigned region.
