About the position

Mimecast is seeking a Sales Engineer with a pre-sales or IT background to join our team, specifically supporting our SMB New Business customer segmentation. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical advice to Mimecast sales staff, partners, and customers. Your primary focus will be to engage with technical contacts to effectively position Mimecast services, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to qualify opportunities and develop sales strategies that align with customer requirements. Additionally, you will support complex solutions and oversee pre-sales proof-of-concepts, working in tandem with the Service Delivery team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business needs. Your ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to business-focused customers will be essential in driving sales success. We are looking for a proactive and self-sufficient individual who is adaptable and eager to learn new skills. Familiarity with networking, security technologies, and SaaS solutions is important, as is experience in consultative selling and working within an indirect sales environment.
