In this role as a property and casualty field territory underwriter, you will be instrumental in evaluating, assessing, and pricing risks while driving profitable growth for our agency partners in the Detroit, Michigan territory. This position is fully remote for those serving territories away from our headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. The starting pay for this position ranges from $90,000 to $152,000 annually, with a competitive compensation package based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on both company and individual performance. Your responsibilities will include underwriting by analyzing risks, pricing, negotiating, and making informed decisions on commercial business. You will be tasked with selling and soliciting business across all available business units within your territory to foster strong, diverse agency relationships. Additionally, you will lead the territory in strategic plan development, ownership, and execution of enterprise-wide growth and profit, including new agency appointments. Building deep relationships with assigned agencies will be crucial to developing a diverse and profitable portfolio, ensuring we deliver on our vision to be the best company serving independent agents. You will also provide leadership by partnering with and leading other field disciplines within designated agency relationships, ensuring their success through communication, support, and collaboration with team members. Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, emerging risks, and primary competitors will be essential for making informed decisions.
