About the position

As a Sales Lead at LOFT, you will be an integral part of our feel-good community, dedicated to creating modern, feminine, and versatile clothing for women. Your role will empower clients to express their authentic selves while ensuring they feel confident in their style choices. You will be responsible for providing exceptional client services and acting as the Manager on Duty in the absence of a manager. This includes performing operational and transactional functions, addressing client service issues, and managing store operations effectively. You will also handle desk transactions and oversee the opening and closing of the store, ensuring compliance with all ANN INC. practices and procedures. In this position, you will embrace our values and set an example through your behaviors. You will support the Store Manager and Co-Manager in overseeing the operational functioning of the store, driving revenue by proactively managing the client experience. This includes utilizing tools to foster a client-focused team environment, coaching associates on client interactions, and maximizing productivity. You will possess keys to the store and perform essential opening and closing procedures, including managing cash registers and bank deposits. Your ability to communicate store metrics and individual performance will motivate associates and enhance the overall client experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for making effective merchandising decisions based on reports and ensuring optimal coverage and productivity in all areas of the store. Your role will require flexibility in scheduling, as you will need to work evenings and weekends to meet the business's needs. You will also be expected to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally and maneuver effectively around the sales floor, stock room, and office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client services and support the Store Manager and Co-Manager in operational functions.
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of a manager, handling client service issues and operational tasks.
  • Drive revenue by managing the client experience and performing Manager On Duty responsibilities.
  • Utilize tools to ensure a client-focused team environment and communicate store metrics to motivate associates.
  • Coach associates on client interactions and performance to maximize productivity.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including managing cash registers and bank deposits.
  • Ensure compliance with all ANN INC. practices and procedures and complete daily tasks to meet store standards.
  • Embrace fashion trends and articulate them in client interactions, adhering to dress code guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum six months Sales Associate experience with ANN INC. or equivalent experience in retail.
  • Part-time or full-time managerial experience preferred.
  • Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and techniques.
