In this role, the Sales Lead will establish and communicate clear expectations for the store team, holding both themselves and their colleagues accountable for achieving brand performance and behavior standards. They will oversee essential operational activities, including opening and closing duties, merchandise flow processes, and supervising associates engaged in various tasks such as sales and inventory management. The Sales Lead will also maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, ensuring that merchandise is presented in accordance with promotional standards. A significant aspect of the Sales Lead's responsibilities is to develop a high-performance culture within the team. This includes motivating the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals, as well as training and coaching team members to ensure they are well-versed in product knowledge. The Sales Lead will also play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by modeling and promoting the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring that customers receive personalized attention and support throughout their shopping journey. Additionally, the Sales Lead will support the development of store associates, providing feedback and coaching based on performance metrics. They will drive engagement by recognizing outstanding performance and ensuring that the store team adheres to all employment practices and policies. This position is integral to maintaining a positive store environment and achieving the company's sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate clear expectations for the store team.
  • Perform and oversee basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties.
  • Supervise associates engaged in sales and inventory management.
  • Utilize weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions; present and display merchandise accordingly.
  • Develop a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet assigned goals.
  • Train and coach the selling team on product knowledge.
  • Model, teach, and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles.
  • Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience.
  • Support and implement training programs for store associates.
  • Drive associate engagement by recognizing outstanding performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage.
