About the position

The Sales Manager for Cellular Automation Workflow Sales at Molecular Devices is responsible for leading a high-performing sales team in North America. This role focuses on driving growth and market share in the life sciences sector by developing customer relationships and strategic partnerships. The manager will guide the team to achieve sales targets while fostering professional development and collaboration within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth & gain market share through effective territory planning for North America.
  • Achieve NA sales targets and company goals by developing & maintaining a high-performing sales team.
  • Actively represent Molecular Devices and Danaher at industry events and engage high-impact customers.
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-OPCO Danaher teams to exceed customer expectations.
  • Champion standard sales processes and provide accurate forecasts and quote approvals.
  • Drive strategic growth through evolving partnerships with large channel partners in North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful Capital Equipment Sales experience in the life science or related industry.
  • 5+ years of managing/mentoring members of a sales organization.
  • 5+ years selling through large channel partners.
  • Willingness to invest 60% of working time in the field interacting with sales reps, leadership, and customers.
  • Successful track record of identifying and developing new technologies and applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Cellular Automation Workflows and 3D Biology.
