About the position

As a Sales Manager at Asbury Automotive Group, you will play a crucial role in managing and driving the success of both the new and used car departments. This position focuses on developing sales consultants, achieving monthly sales quotas, and enhancing customer relationships to redefine the car-buying experience. You will be responsible for operational management, training staff, and collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure a seamless sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Operationally manage and drive the success of the new and used car departments.
  • Develop sales consultants and provide training and support to the sales staff.
  • Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and bridge disconnects in the sales process.
  • Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals.
  • Order and purchase vehicles for the new car inventory lot and buy used cars from auction or off lease.
  • Conduct trade appraisals and manage vehicle inventory.
  • Desk deals, track revenue logs, and manage retail delivery reports.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and the service department for internal service work on used vehicles.
  • Prepare and administer annual forecasts and budgets for the new vehicle department.
  • Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of automotive experience required.
  • Prior sales consultant and F&I manager experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and dealer management systems.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of business with professionalism.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and customer relationship management.
