About the position

We are looking for a Sales Operations / Bid & Proposal Manager to support our global Electronics Sales Team. This hybrid position will report to an Electronics office in Portland, OR, Albany, NY, or Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will manage concurrent pursuits and sales deliverables, connecting our sales team with global Electronics leadership and regional operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside account managers, technical experts, operations, engineering, contracts, pricing leads, and graphic designers. Your responsibilities will include planning and facilitating interactive workshops to understand client challenges and develop solutions. You will challenge concepts, solutions, and assumptions in constructive ways to differentiate and develop unique value propositions. Supporting internal stakeholders in client, competitor, and market research, you will help develop client and market strategies. You will also plan, organize, and motivate multi-discipline pursuit teams to create pre-RFP win plans and strategic sales action plans, executive-level account communications, proposals, and presentations. Translating win strategies into key themes and driving them into sales documents through storyboarding will be a key part of your role. You will manage the efforts of editors and creative services/graphic designers while promoting Jacobs' brand by adhering to brand guidelines for visual identity and voice. Additionally, you will develop and maintain sales materials, champion the sales process, and ensure compliance and governance practices are carried out in line with our business practices. Actively working with sales and operations, you will ensure Salesforce is updated and current with opportunities and financials. Responsibilities

  • Manage concurrent pursuits and sales deliverables for the global Electronics Sales Team.

  • Ensure Salesforce is updated and current with opportunities and financials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related fields.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in marketing/sales for the professional services industry, preferably in the A/E or construction industry.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear plans of action.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with organization in a fast-moving, global environment.
  • Understanding of the full capture and proposal process from pre-RFP to post-RFP.
  • Strong capability in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite, with proficiency in database applications.
  • Working knowledge of using client relationship management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 5 years of experience in the A/E or construction industry.
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 days/week to an Electronics office in Portland, OR, Albany, NY, or Pittsburgh, PA.
