About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific plays a crucial role in enhancing customer relationships and supporting the sales team. This position involves coaching and developing the Customer Service Liaison team, analyzing sales revenue, and acting as a subject matter expert for training and process improvements. The role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction, while also providing leadership in customer-facing meetings and sales strategy discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, onboard, and facilitate development of the Customer Service Liaison (CSL) team.
  • Enhance relationships between Sales Representatives and Customers.
  • Analyze, forecast, and present Sales Revenue to Sales and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DASH training and enhancements.
  • Maintain an active leadership role with multiple teams, including Compensation, CAS, CX, and Logistics.
  • Assist in the field through training and co-travel with Sales Representatives and Sales Leaders.
  • Act as the face of Commercial Operations in customer-facing meetings and Sales Leadership Meetings.
  • Effectuate, track, promote, and advocate all policies, budgets, AOP, quotas, and quarterly sales promotions.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely shipments and invoicing.
  • Engage in relevant PPI and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Operations role or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, DASH, Teams, and familiarity with other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Salesforce (SFDC) experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed.
