About the position

The Sales Operations Specialist at Fastrac Energy Services is responsible for driving business growth through proactive outreach to potential solar customers. This role involves lead generation, appointment setting, and customer education about solar energy solutions. The specialist will work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to sales, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers to introduce solar energy solutions and schedule appointments for sales consultants.
  • Qualify leads based on interest, budget, location, and eligibility for solar programs using a consultative approach.
  • Educate potential customers on the benefits of solar energy, installation processes, and financial incentives such as tax credits and rebates.
  • Update and maintain accurate lead and customer information in the Salesforce system for smooth communication and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide relevant customer information for a seamless transition from lead generation to sales process.
  • Continuously follow up with leads that are not yet ready to schedule, nurturing them through email and phone outreach.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets, including call volume, appointment-setting quotas, and conversion rates.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and support to ensure a positive experience for every potential client.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in an inside sales, appointment setting, or telemarketing role, preferably in the renewable energy or home improvement industry.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, educate, and influence potential customers.
  • Motivated by sales targets and driven to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Comfortable with using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic sales tools.
  • Ability to handle objections, stay motivated, and adapt to different customer personas.
  • Empathy and a consultative approach to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • A basic understanding of solar energy systems and the benefits of solar power is preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Solar experience and Salesforce experience are preferred but not required.
