About the position

The Chemical Sales Representative will serve as a key liaison between the chemical distribution company and its customers, primarily in the refinery sector. This role combines sales and engineering responsibilities, focusing on the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of chemical delivery systems. The representative will build strategic relationships with customer stakeholders, manage day-to-day operations, and coordinate business reviews to ensure overall company success.

Responsibilities

  • Act in a sales and engineering capacity while onsite at customer refineries.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate chemical delivery systems.
  • Build strategic relationships with customer stakeholders.
  • Coordinate projects pertaining to customer initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the product and ensure proper application strategies.
  • Coordinate business reviews and initiatives for overall company success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of Chemical Engineering Experience.
  • 2+ years of Refinery/Chemical Treatment Experience.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Show comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions for the refining industry.
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Laboratory Experience.
  • Industrial Chemical Treatment Experience.
  • Sales Background.
