About the position

Responsibilities

  • Act as a consultative partner for customers, helping them integrate transportation solutions into their business strategies.
  • Engage in moderate local and regional travel to identify cost-effective shipping options, home every night.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Represent Averitt as the face of the brand in daily interactions.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of sales experience, transportation sales experience preferred
  • Port experience and/or international selling preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED; College Degree preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Convictions for Reckless Driving within the past 5 years will be reviewed on a case by case basis
  • Convictions for DUI within the past 5 years will be reviewed on a case by case basis
  • License suspensions or revocations within the past 5 years will be reviewed on a case by case basis
  • Serious moving violations within the past 12 months will be reviewed on a case by case basis
  • More than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years will be reviewed on a case by case basis
