This is an outside sales position at Sysco Metro New York, LLC, responsible for promoting the company's products and services while building relationships with both new and existing accounts. The primary focus of this role is to assist Sysco customers in achieving their success, all while meeting the sales and profit goals set by the company. The position may require working non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to effectively meet the needs of customers. As a Sales Representative, you will be expected to develop new business opportunities, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within your assigned territory. In this role, you will seek and qualify prospects in alignment with the company's account stratification goals. You will research customer business needs and develop a tailored mix of products and services to meet those needs. Staying informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitors' offerings is crucial, as you will share this information with customers as part of the value-added services provided. You will also be responsible for answering customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and usage, as well as providing product information and practical training to customer personnel. Additionally, you will manage deliveries according to the routing schedule published by the transportation department, troubleshoot any issues that arise during the order process, and participate in company functions, promotions, and customer events. Engaging in ongoing training sessions and assisting with the training of new employees will also be part of your responsibilities. Administrative duties such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, and processing credits will be required as well.
