About the position

The Sales and Service Manager (SSM) at PGA TOUR Superstore is responsible for leading a team of Associates to provide exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets. This role involves overseeing various store operations, including customer interactions, product offerings, and community events, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The SSM plays a key role in instilling service behaviors among Associates and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Associates to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Create a culture of appreciation by recognizing and rewarding excellent performance.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive environment for all Associates.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance in all operations.
  • Maintain operational and merchandising standards through consistent presence on the sales floor.
  • Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Enable Associates to effectively inform and educate customers about products and services.
  • Model and teach service behaviors to create a customer-first culture.
  • Conduct regular department walks to maintain operational excellence and customer experience.
  • Provide hiring and termination recommendations to the General Manager.
  • Review sales performance reports to identify effective and ineffective drivers of business performance.
  • Support onboarding and development of Associates to close product knowledge gaps.
  • Engage in meaningful development conversations with Associates throughout their employment journey.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory and compliance with loss prevention policies.
  • Execute community efforts and build relationships to address local needs.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze business needs and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Strong business acumen with accountability for P&L management.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Leadership skills to enforce high standards of customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail management or a similar leadership role.
