About the position

As a Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst at Homes, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of our sales team in Richmond, VA. This position is integral to our mission of reimagining the home search experience for consumers and agents alike. You will be responsible for analyzing sales performance metrics, creating executive-level presentations, and generating actionable business insights and recommendations for our sales leaders. This high-visibility role will allow you to directly influence strategic decision-making for one of the fastest-growing brands within the Group. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing sales data and metrics to track performance against established goals and identify trends. You will develop and maintain comprehensive sales reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders, contributing to ad hoc strategic analysis and presentations for Homes Sales leaders. Additionally, you will maintain and define core metrics to measure the impact of current and future sales strategies. You will be expected to acquire and clean data from multiple sources, develop queries to conduct analysis, and create business performance dashboards. Conducting exploratory data analysis to understand customer, market, and product trends will also be a key part of your role. Utilizing data visualization and statistical tools, you will deliver valuable business insights that drive our sales strategy forward. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work four days onsite and one day remotely, providing flexibility while ensuring collaboration with your team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales data and metrics to track performance against goals and identify trends
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive sales reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to ad hoc strategic analysis and presentations for Homes Sales leaders
  • Maintain and define core metrics to measure impact of current and future Sales strategic decisions
  • Acquire and clean data from multiple sources; develop queries in order to conduct analysis and create business performance dashboards
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand customer, market, and product trends
  • Employ data visualization and statistical tools to deliver business insights

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in quantitative field (Business, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering) from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
  • 2-3 years of rigorous analytical experience, with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics
  • Strong business acumen including problem solving and critical thinking
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other BI tools for analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Experience with basic project management principles
  • High-motor work ethic and comfortability directly interacting with senior leaders
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of business intelligence software (ie Power BI, Tableau) and web analytics tools (ie Google Analytics)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Interest in data collection, problem solving, and data analytics
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college
