About the position

The Sales Trainer at ISG is responsible for facilitating sales training and development programs aimed at enhancing the skills and performance of both new and existing team members. This role involves analyzing the training needs of the sales team and evaluating the effectiveness of the training provided. The Sales Trainer acts as an advisor, offering and supporting specific training programs that help employees maintain or improve their job skills. In this position, the Sales Trainer will assess training needs through various methods, including survey results, employee interviews, focus groups, and consultations with sales managers. They will coordinate training activities and evaluate different modes of training delivery to optimize effectiveness, manage training costs, and ensure a positive organizational impact. Additionally, the Sales Trainer will identify the developmental needs of team members and provide coaching, mentoring, or assistance to help them enhance their knowledge and skills. The role also requires the Sales Trainer to obtain, organize, and develop training materials, such as procedure manuals, guides, handouts, and visual aids. They will present and train using various instructional techniques, including role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, and lectures. The Sales Trainer may also be tasked with additional responsibilities and tasks as necessary to support the training and development goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate ISG-related sales training and development programs.
  • Analyze sales training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Act as an advisor to support specific training programs for skill improvement.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with sales managers.
  • Coordinate training activities and evaluate training delivery modes.
  • Identify developmental needs and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Develop training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Present training using various instructional techniques such as role-playing and group discussions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Certification from a credible training organization preferred.
  • At least one year of progressive sales experience required.
  • 1-2 years of sales leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in teaching courses designed for adult learners.
