About the position

As a Salon Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the salon, acting as the heartbeat of operations while providing leadership and support to your team. Your primary focus will be on managing all aspects of the salon, ensuring that both staff and clients experience the highest level of service and satisfaction. You will lead by example, demonstrating the importance of customer service and professionalism in every interaction. Your leadership will empower your staff to increase their clientele and enhance the overall profitability of the salon. You will also be responsible for teaching stylists the business side of their craft, ensuring they understand how to balance creativity with financial success. In addition to operational management, you will provide all hair care services offered by Supercuts, ensuring that each guest receives the highest quality service. As a coach and mentor, you will foster a positive work environment, encouraging your team to excel in their roles. Your responsibilities will include hiring, recruiting, and training new staff, as well as addressing conflicts and client complaints with professionalism and care. Your ability to create a supportive and motivating atmosphere will be key to the salon's success. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the salon and its clients. You will also need to be tech-savvy, capable of performing administrative tasks, and comfortable with basic math and reading skills. Additionally, you will be required to travel for mandatory meetings and training sessions, which may include overnight stays.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations.
  • Ability to lead by example and provide excellent customer service.
  • Experience in training and developing a team while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to perform administrative tasks and close out systems at the end of the day.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a salon management role or similar leadership position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients.
