About the position

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of food products by controlling environmental conditions and performing in-depth equipment cleaning. This role involves disassembling and setting up production equipment, utilizing cleaning systems, and maintaining records to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and set up all production equipment.
  • Clean all equipment using COP and CIP systems.
  • Verify the proper cleaning and set-up of all equipment.
  • Put away production and sanitation materials.
  • Drive material handling equipment.
  • Monitor/test chemical concentration of all CIP systems.
  • Maintain CIP Chart Recorders and document necessary information on charts and CIP logs.
  • Take inventory of sanitation supplies.
  • Use bioluminescence technology to verify CIP systems.
  • Perform tasks according to the plant Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Troubleshoot basic sanitation equipment issues.
  • Train new Associates on required skill sets for Environmental Operations.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area according to GMP and Safety guidelines.
  • Operate Rich's SCADA system and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by Lead person.
  • Train in other areas of the plant as required by the Skillblock program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to train other Associates in Sanitation/Environmental operations.
  • Desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team.
  • Proficient on Rich's SCADA system.
  • Awareness of and ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines.
  • Awareness of and ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines.
  • Understanding of proper machine operating and adjusting procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams.
