About the position

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cloud Development Operations Engineer who possesses a strong background in infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform, and has deep expertise and knowledge in AWS. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Gardner Kubernetes and Python. This position requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about cloud technologies and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement best practices for cloud-based deployments.
  • Manage and optimize AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and VPCs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot Gardener Kubernetes landscapes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Development Operations Engineer or a similar role.
  • Deep expertise and knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
  • Experience with Gardner Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like ArgoCD or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of other infrastructure as code tools like Ansible or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch or ELK.
  • Linux operating system management and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience with HashiCorp vault or similar vault software.
  • Strong background on deployment and issue troubleshooting.
