The School Administrative Secretary at Capt James E Daly Jr. Elementary School plays a crucial role in managing the operations of the school's administrative and main offices. In addition to managing daily office operations, the School Administrative Secretary is expected to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the operations of the school's administrative and main offices.

Requirements

  • High School or GED diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressively more responsible experience, with three years in a school secretary I/II class in a school setting.
  • Training in personal computing sufficient to perform complex word processing tasks and a working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, office management, and standard records procedures.
  • Proficiency in business English and computer knowledge.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a school setting as a secretary or administrative assistant.
  • Familiarity with the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
