The School Secretary will also serve as the primary contact for the student information system, specifically PowerSchool, ensuring that all data is accurately entered and maintained. The successful candidate will be expected to perform routine office tasks efficiently and effectively, adapting to the dynamic needs of a busy school office. Responsibilities

  • Prompt and regular attendance.
  • Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs and directs them to the proper person.
  • Answers telephone calls and assists students and parents as needed.
  • Maintains student sign in and out records.
  • Maintains computer entry needs.
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.
  • Maintains various inventory lists as needed.
  • Serves as student information system (PowerSchool) person.
  • Performs usual office routines and practices associated with a busy, productive office environment.
  • Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Superintendent of Schools.
  • Assists with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of college preferred.
  • Secretarial skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and experience in basic office procedures and small office equipment.
  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to work successfully with other professionals.
