About the position
The Analytical Scientist role at MilliporeSigma involves working within the Analytical Quality Control (AQC) operations to ensure the quality and compliance of materials and products. The position focuses on testing using various analytical techniques and requires problem-solving skills to optimize processes and develop new methods. Responsibilities
- Test neat materials and reference standard products primarily using (U)HPLC and GC.
- Perform additional testing such as LC/MS, GC/MS, KF, ROI, and/or NMR as needed.
- Use experience and education to solve problems and optimize processes.
- Maintain and qualify analytical instrumentation.
- Review data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with quality requirements.
- Develop and validate analytical methods.
- Respond efficiently to evolving priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Sciences discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a regulated environment (GLP, GMP, ISO).
- Experience performing quality control and/or analytical chemistry in a regulated environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in an analytical lab analyzing neat materials for chemical purity and assay for concentration.
- Proficiency in technical fundamentals, organizational skills, documentation, and effective communication.
- Experience in separations science in an analytical and/or bioanalytical lab by UHPLC and/or UHLC/MS.
- Experience with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and quality-oriented regulated environment.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with a team.
