About the position

We are looking for a highly skilled Scrum Master/IT Project Manager with expertise in Guidewire to lead Agile teams in the Property and Casualty insurance domain. This role combines the responsibilities of a Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager, and Release Train Engineer, focusing on facilitating Agile practices, managing project plans, and optimizing technical processes to ensure efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions
  • Ensure adherence to Agile principles and practices across the organization
  • Develop and manage project plans, communication strategies, and resource allocation
  • Analyze and optimize technical processes to ensure efficient delivery
  • Lead budget planning and resource allocation throughout project phases
  • Research and evaluate new hardware and software technologies, particularly in the context of P&C insurance and Guidewire implementations
  • Coordinate and drive Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the SAFe framework
  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning and execution
  • Manage dependencies between Agile teams and external stakeholders
  • Establish and communicate schedules for iterations and Program Increments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Technical Project Manager
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
  • Extensive knowledge of the P&C insurance domain
  • Proficiency with Guidewire software and its implementation
  • Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Guidewire technology
