About the position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Scrum Master to work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Lanham, MD. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust level clearance. Responsibilities

  • Analyze propositions and assess decision-making factors such as strategic alignment, cost/benefit, and risk.
  • Work closely with the Product Owners and Product Manager to define a product approach to meet the specified user need.
  • Develop product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria, and write user stories.
  • Define skill requirements and map internal, agency, and external resources.
  • Analyze and map project risks approach and propose mitigation solutions.
  • Define how the predicted user and financial benefit can be realized, and how channel shift shall be measured.
  • Make recommendations for action against analysis performed.
  • Manage, coordinate, organize, update grammar, and maintain documentation that is clear, concise, organized, and easily accessible for current and future reference.
  • Utilize existing tools to create system architecture diagrams, flow diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, Swaggerdocs, JavaDocs, and other diagrams as appropriate.
  • Write documentation so that future team resources can easily assimilate and understand the referenced topics.
  • Consolidate documentation within a systems-level, holistic documentation suite, with a hierarchical structure that is easy to navigate and understand.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust level clearance; an active Public Trust level clearance is preferred.
  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience in a medium to large Agile enterprise.
  • Skilled in IIBA best practices, in-depth analysis and system understanding.
  • Ability to coach teams to Agile practices.
  • Ability to evaluate Agile methodology currently being followed by teams and propose and implement shift towards industry best practices.
  • Institutional knowledge and in-depth understanding of the OLA program, delivery partners, and system design.
  • Expert experience in requirements gathering, writing, tracing, and managing.
  • Familiar with a range of digital/web services and solutions, ideally where open source and agile development methodologies have been applied.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to rationalize complex information to make it understandable for others to work.
  • Ability to interrogate reported information and challenge sources where inconsistencies are found.

Nice-to-haves

  • Scrum Master certification is preferred.
