Scrum Master

About the position

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Scrum Master preferably in Mobile App Development with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Our engineers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we're doing wrong, so we can fix it, and what we're doing right, so we can improve on it. Above all, we judge success by the success of our team and the happiness of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the team follows Agile practices and principles.
• Having knowledge of Mobile App development, App Security, Banking core Platform, App Component development.
• Having previous experience in iOS and Android development process and development process based on tools (Kotlin, React Native, Android Studio).
• Excellent in Agile reporting and resource capacity planning process. Track and report on team performance metrics.
• Collaborate with product owners to manage the product backlog and prioritize work.
• Skills in Jira filter-based Dashboard creation and reporting.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and teams to ensure alignment and integration.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in mobile app development.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of mobile app development processes and technologies is a plus.
