Scrum Master

About the position

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Scrum Master to facilitate daily scrum meetings, coordinate routine deployments, and conduct biweekly sprint planning. To excel in this role, you should have a foundational understanding of the principles and practices of Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Previous experience with Jira is preferred. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, negotiate work agreements, and foster a collaborative environment will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with Senior Scrum Masters, project leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to turn requirements into Jira Epics and User Stories.
• Leads Scrum and SAFe ceremonies such as sprint planning/grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identifies and tracks action items and works closely with the respective teams to identify and remove impediments.
• Identifies and reports team and project progress via appropriate metrics.
• Co-manage PI Planning events, a critical component of SAFe that helps align teams to a shared mission and vision.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience with Agile as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or similar
• Experience with Jira and Confluence

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist certification is preferred
