About the position

The SDE - Android/iOS position at Amazon's Prime Video team focuses on developing and enhancing the Linear TV experience for customers. This role involves working with both Android and iOS platforms to create high-speed data delivery systems and improve media ingestion and publishing processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to innovate and deliver exceptional digital media experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Linear Mobile Client team's transition to owning its own mobile experience.
• Develop and enhance applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers to align on project updates and launches.
• Participate in team meetings and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Create reliable and maintainable code while finding scalable solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 1+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with mission critical, 24x7 systems.
• Experience with high throughput, multi-threaded systems.
• Expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Strong working knowledge of operating system fundamentals.
