About the position

The Program Management Office (PMO) Analyst/Technical Writer will support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Industrial Operations Directorate (SEA 04) by overseeing various aspects of business financial management, strategic communications, and data analytics. This role requires effective communication and high-quality documentation to assist in the command's mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality documentation free from errors.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Review and edit material prepared by other writers, recommending revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
  • Assist/lead in preparing briefing material for leadership.
  • Review, format, and route correspondence for signature.
  • Input new action items in appropriate tracking system and mark complete the reviewed items via Program Office letters.
  • Locate, retrieve, reproduce, and distribute documents as needed.
  • Update tracking systems with information from weekly correspondence update meetings.
  • Provide briefings, presentation materials, analytical reports, concept papers, and critical issue papers for both internal and external use.
  • Design, develop, and produce desktop publishing products and services to effectively communicate command mission and objectives.
  • Assist with drafting strategic communications objectives and goals in conjunction with organizational directives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or Scientific discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a financial or management discipline.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD program management, technical, or business management.
  • Experience with drafting, coordinating, and presenting papers, briefings, and presentations at the GS-15/O-6 level.

  • Experience communicating with GS-15/O-6 personnel.
