Positions range from permanent clinical float roles (Full time or Part Time) to Seasonal 13-week assignments with significantly higher base pay. The Medical Technologist is responsible for precisely and accurately performing and evaluating a variety of technical procedures. This includes utilizing accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi-automated, or automated methodologies and equipment. The role involves performing phlebotomy procedures and assisting in other laboratory activities as requested. Additionally, the Medical Technologist will perform Section Head Duties when the Section Head is not available and is competent in providing direct care to patients across various age brackets: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate a variety of technical procedures accurately and precisely.
• Utilize accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi-automated, or automated methodologies and equipment.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures and assist in other laboratory activities as requested.
• Perform Section Head Duties when Section Head is not available.
• Provide direct care to patients within the age brackets of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• Florida State License as Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor required.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with proper certification by the Board of Registry (ASCP) or NCA is required.
• Previous experience as a medical technologist preferred.
