About the position

Troy School District 287 is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position is essential in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success. As a Secondary Special Education Teacher, you will collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to thrive academically and socially. You will be expected to assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in advocating for students' needs and ensuring compliance with all relevant educational laws and regulations. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must hold or be eligible to hold an Idaho Secondary Teaching Certificate with an Endorsement in Special Education with Highly Qualified status.
  • Preferred: Multiple endorsements and teaching experience.
